David Chung

Youth Director

David Chung is a student at Knox College, Toronto where he will enter Third Year in September, 2011 in preparation for ministry in the Presbyterian Church in Canada. He is a graduate of Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Architectural Science. After several years working in the field of architecture, David felt called to the ministry and enrolled in Knox College.

David completed his Supervised Field Education appointment at Thornhill Presbyterian Church in April 2011. His home church is Toronto Korean Presbyterian Church where he has served in a variety of capacities:

  • Interim Youth Pastor with the English-speaking congregation

  • Small Group leader with Grades 7-8 boys

  • Praise Team Audio-video specialist

  • Nicaragua Missionary volunteer

  • Small group leader for College and Young Professionals

David brings these life experiences to his ministry with youth as he shares his passion for Christ in developing the faith and service capacities in our youth. David was commissioned as the Director of Youth Ministries on Sunday, May 8th, 2011 during the regular Service of Worship.
